Training and Advising Seniors

Seniors Fitness

During Gary’s career he has seen the positive impact that exercise can have on seniors. In fact, Gary believes that people over the age of 65 receive the most benefit from starting an exercise program. Gary has clients in their 60s, 70s and 80s.

People generally think mobility and balance problems are an inevitable part of aging. What they don’t realize is that in many instances these issues are the result of being sedentary. When people are not active their central nervous system stops working at an optimum level. The central nervous system is responsible for movement and without proper stimulation it starts to underperform, leading to mobility and balance problems. This is also a leading reason why seniors tend to fall more often as they age. This is more serious for those who have been diagnosed with osteopenia and osteoporosis as bone fractures are serious and can lead to long-term health implications.

Gary works with clients to achieve maximum results and develops programs that include exercises that provide the greatest amount of central nervous system stimulation.

The largest risk factor for seniors is falling.
